You can use all einrúm E yarn qualities for this balaclava. You need 100 g (416m) for this pattern.

We have knitted the pictured balaclava with two different colours. The outer layer is worked in E+2 1010 OLIVIN but the inner layer is worked in E+2 1002 ÁGÍT. If you want to know more about the yarn you can do that HERE

METHOD

The balaclava is worked in the round, from the bottom up with the face opening in the middle of the piece. The middle part of the hat is worked in two layers, using two circular needles.

Two 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles (40 cm)

The story behind AGD 02 BALACLAVA

My grandmother had a balaclava almost just like AGD 02 BALACLAVA which she had made in the seventies. I always thought this was a brilliant hat. I asked the designer Anne Grete Duvald to design a balaclava like my grandmothers for einrúm. Anne Grete has worked with the duality of the concept and came up with this modern-looking, warm hat which beautifully frames the face when worn as a balaclava.
