At the Berber museum in Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, I regarded beautiful Berber jewellery. The simple design of the necklaces fascinated me. The necklace that captured my attention had silver diamond shapes hanging in some sort of columns. The diamond shapes were joined with small rings. This necklace gave me the inspiration to knit a shawl with a pattern made with columns of diamond shapes and holes.

THE STORY BEHIND THE KBG 16 BERBER SHAWL – LAMB YARN KIT
I have worked the BERBER SHAWL pattern in our PURE SILK. The pattern is inspired at the Berber Museum in Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech where I regarded beautiful Berber jewellery. The necklace gave me the inspiration to design a shawl with a pattern made with columns of diamond shapes and holes.
METHOD
Work the shawl flat with increases at the border on every other row. In addition, work increases just inside the border stitches on every 8th row. The pattern of diagonals is arranged around the centre of the shawl.
