Back in 2007 Björg designed a series of patterns with the purpose to make use of leftover yarns. I became captivated by these handmade, colourful garments, and in 2016 the dream of presenting Björgs patterns in einrúm yarn came true for me. We began working on the project of implementing and adjusting the patterns to the einrúm yarn and giving a hint on how one might use leftover yarn. We published the pattern book RENDUR (stripes) in March 2017. The book contained 8 designed for children in the age one to twelve years. The BP 02 RENDUR SWEATER is one of the patterns. METHOD

The BP 02 sweater is worked top-down in the round. The neckline and yoke are worked from the wrong side, the work is then turned inside out and sleeves and body are worked from the right side. Increases are made evenly across the yoke and become a pattern. The neckline and sleeve cuffs are ribbed, as is the hem of the sweater. A loose cast on is necessary in order to avoid the neckline being too tight.
