Back in 2007 Björg designed a series of patterns with the purpose to make use of leftover yarns. I became captivated by these handmade, colourful garments, and in 2016 the dream of presenting Björgs patterns in einrúm yarn came true for me. We began working on the project of implementing and adjusting the patterns to the einrúm yarn and giving a hint on how one might use leftover yarn. We published the pattern book RENDUR (stripes) in March 2017. The book contained 8 designed for children in the age one to twelve years. The book is available in English, Danish and in Icelandic. METHOD

The cardigan is worked top-down and the body is worked flat, including the borders which are worked simultaneously. Increases are made evenly across the yoke and become a pattern when the increases appear on each side of knit stitches. The neckline and sleeve cuffs are ribbed, as is the hem of the cardigan. A loose cast on is necessary in order to avoid the neckline being too tight.
