DESIGNER: BJÖRG PJETURSDÓTTIR
#einrumRENDUR
Back in 2007 Björg designed a series of patterns with the purpose to make use of leftover yarns. I became captivated by these handmade, colourful garments, and in 2016 the dream of presenting Björgs patterns in einrúm yarn came true for me. We began working on the project of implementing and adjusting the patterns to the einrúm yarn and giving a hint on how one might use leftover yarn. We published the pattern book RENDUR (stripes) in March 2017. The book contained 8 designed for children in the age one to twelve years. The book is available in English, Danish and in Icelandic. You can buy the book HERE
METHOD
The socks are worked in the round. The heel stitches are placed on a holder and worked at the end. Decreases are made on each side of the K2 sts on the side of the heel and the toes. Decrease by 4 sts on each rnd until 8 sts rem. A loose cast on is necessary in order to avoid the socks being too tight.
YARN:
You can use all einrúm E yarn qualities for this pattern. Your einrúm leftover yarn is ideal to use for this RENDUR socks.
