PRODDUCT DESCRIPTION
KAG 02 TIVOLI SWEATERThe KAG 02 TIVOLI SWEATER is an inspiration from the past. When my sister and I were children, Amma Katrín, our paternal grandmother, knitted sweaters for us using this diamond shaped pattern. The original pattern was made up of three colours. My sister and I adapted the pattern with various colour combinations when we were teenagers. My sister Katrín, who is named after our grandmother, has yet again used the pattern as a guide when she designed this beautiful sweater. This time the pattern has only two colours, playing with purled stitches in the place of a third colour. The sleeves have an inset appearance and a pleat on the shoulders which makes the sweater very elegant. METHODThe KAG 02 TIVOLI SWEATER is worked in the round from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately in a two coloured fair isle pattern, with vertical stripes to mark the sides of the body and underside of the arm. The body and sleeves are joined on one circular needle to work the yoke in a single colour in the round. The yoke is worked in a single colour and to even out the tension slightly smaller needles are used. The yoke decreases are designed to give the sweater an inset sleeve appearance, and a pleat at the top of the shoulders gives the sweater an elegant look. YARNAll einrúm E qualities.
