The body of the sweater is worked flat and the button band is worked simultaneously on smaller needles. The sleeves are worked in the round. Sleeves and body are joined on one circular needle at the armholes and the yoke is worked flat with raglan shaping. Snap fastening buttons, 15 mm in diameter, are sewn onto the button band 10 cm apart.
There are two versions of the pattern, a downloadable and a booklet which you can have sent by post.
YARN
The pattern is made for L-yarn qualities.
The pictured striped cardigan is worked in L-yarn colours:
450 g einrúm, 2004 Stilbít, main colour
50 g einrúm, 2001 Silfurberg
50 g einrúm, 2003 Ágít
50 g einrúm, 2005 Barýt
50 g einrúm, 2006 Pýrit
The pictured single colour cardigan is worked in L-yarn colour 2002 Skólisít.
You will need 550 g einrúm, L-yarn for this cardigan.
NEEDLES
Body: 4 mm (US6) and 5 mm (US8) circular needles.
Sleeves: Set of double ended 4 mm (US6) needles and a short 5 mm (US8) circular needle.
