UNIT 6 – EDGES AND SLITS

YOU WILL LEARN TO

• Divide the work for a slit and cast on extra stitches for edges.
• Work an i-cord cast-off.
• Work i-cord around a corner.
• Work an i-cord cast-off around a drawstring.

Slits add extra freedom of movement to skirts and more.
We work a slit with rolled edges and i-cord cast-off.
Learn to work edges with built-in drawstrings, as in the Vala pants.
Techniques used in the Vala shorts and Vala dress (skirt).
All the methods you learn can be applied to other projects.

• 3 mm crochet hook
